Ultrasonic Welding Principles & Theory

Ultrasonic welding is a high-tech technology for melting and bonding plastic products. As the application of this technology can replace the past production of flux, binder, buckle, or other mechanical fixation methods, thus increasing production efficiency and reducing costs. The principle of ultrasonic welding is to convert high-frequency electrical energy into high-frequency mechanical movement through the ultrasonic generator, ultrasonic transducer, and then the mechanical movement is transmitted to the welding head through a set of amplitude-modulator devices that can change the amplitude(ultrasonic booster). The welding head transmits the received vibration energy to the joint of the part to be welded, where the vibration energy is converted into heat energy by friction to melt the plastic.
