How does a plastic ultrasonic welding machine work?
When an ultrasonic wave acts on a thermoplastic plastic contact
surface, it will produce tens of thousands of high-frequency
vibrations per second. This high-frequency vibration which reaches
a certain amplitude transmits ultrasonic energy to the welding area
through the upper welding parts. Due to the large acoustic
resistance at the interface of the two welds, local high
temperatures will be generated. Again due to poor thermal
conductivity of plastic, heat can't timely send out for a while,
gathered in the welding area, the two plastic contact rapidly melt,
coupled with a certain pressure, make its merging into one When
ultrasonic stop function, to keep the pressure for a few seconds,
make its solidification molding, forming a strong chain, achieve
the purpose of welding, the welding strength can close to the raw
material strength. The good or bad of ultrasonic welding depends on
the amplitude of the ultrasonic welding head, pressure, and welding
time.
